Litigation Legal Assistant

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and organized Legal Assistant to support attorneys with litigation matters after suit is filed through resolution. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing deadlines, communicating with clients and legal professionals, organizing case materials, and assisting with court filings, discovery, and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with day-to-day litigation file management and administrative support.
  • Maintain, organize, scan, upload, save, and properly label electronic case files and documents in the case management system.
  • Calendar and track court dates, hearings, depositions, discovery deadlines, service deadlines, and other litigation-related dates.
  • Draft routine correspondence, notices, letters, emails, and basic legal documents for attorney review.
  • Prepare, file, and serve pleadings, discovery, and other litigation documents with courts, opposing counsel, and relevant parties.
  • Prepare and send discovery requests, assist with compiling discovery responses, and follow up on outstanding discovery, records, authorizations, and requested documents.
  • Obtain, organize, and manage medical records, bills, authorizations, records requests, exhibits, and other case-related documentation.
  • Schedule depositions, facilitations, hearings, appointments, and other litigation-related matters.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, medical providers, and other parties regarding scheduling, case updates, document requests, and routine case matters.
  • Monitor incoming court notices, correspondence, emails, and filings, and update case files accordingly.
  • Prepare for hearings, depositions, settlements, and trial, including organizing exhibits and assisting attorneys with preparation.
  • Track service of process and follow up regarding outstanding service.
  • Answer client calls, assist with routine questions, and direct legal matters to the appropriate attorney when needed.
  • Prepare and assemble settlement disbursement materials.
  • Perform other administrative and litigation support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a legal assistant, litigation assistant, or in a similar legal support role is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate case files and calendars.
  • Professionalism when communicating with clients, courts, attorneys, providers, and other parties.
  • Experience with court filings, discovery, legal correspondence, and case management systems is required.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting attorneys and the litigation team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conversational proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred, but not required.
