Does Michigan No-Fault Insurance Cover Injured Pedestrians?

Straight answers from The Law Offices of Joumana Kayrouz.

Michigan’s no-fault law includes provisions addressing people injured while they are not occupants of motor vehicles. The applicable source of PIP benefits depends on statutory priority rules and individual circumstances.

MCL 500.3115 generally directs qualifying non-occupant claims to the Michigan Assigned Claims Plan, subject to the statutory exception. A lawyer can help determine which rules apply to a particular accident.
