When you come in for an initial consultation for bankruptcy, I explain the difference between Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. Since most people prefer a debt liquidation bankruptcy to a debt repayment bankruptcy, I evaluate whether you qualify for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

If you qualify for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy I explain the Chapter 7 process. If you do not qualify for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy I transition the conversation to Chapter 13 bankruptcy and what that process entails.

By the end of the initial consultation, you will know if bankruptcy is a good option for you, and if so what is the best fit among the various chapters of the bankruptcy code. I also evaluate whether you qualify for a waiver of the filing fee to the court. The consultation itself is free and confidential, and at the conclusion I provide you with a quote for my services moving forward.
